Why Join AEMEE?
For Businesses – It will provide a reference point for working through and doing business with Aboriginal interests.
For Aboriginal People and Aboriginal Owned Businesses – It will provide opportunities to speak and act with one voice on matters such as taxation, legislative reform, industrial relations and commercialism generally.

Who can join AEMEE
Membership is open to individuals, businesses or corporations, other sole traders, privately owned businesses, public listed companies, not-for-profit companies, industry representative bodies and associations. In other words, all sectors with links to the mining industry that may include but not limited to:
- Mining and energy
- Civil construction and infrastructure
- Environment and rehabilitation
- Transport
- Engineering
- Science and innovation
- Technology
- Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and individual trainers
- Education, training, recruitment and employment
- Manufacturing
- Financial and Banking
- Retail – goods and services.
Membership Categories
There are two categories of membership:
1. Full Members
- Any Aboriginal Person over the age of eighteen (18) years of age
- Any Aboriginal Corporation
2. Affiliate Members
- Affiliateships are open to any person or corporation who or which demonstrates a commitment to the objectives of AEMEE.

Full Members Rights
- Eligible for election to Board of Management;
- Eligible to make nominations to Board of Management;
- Eligible to be appointed by the Board to AEMEE Sub-Committees;
- Voting rights (at all general meetings).

- Membership will be for 12 months commencing on 1st January each year.
- A pro rata payment system will be in place for those who commence membership during the year;
- A quarterly payment system will be available for those who may not wish to make the annual lump sum payment;
- Payments can be made by cheque or direct debit;
- Prospective members will be able to join and renew membership through the AEMEE web site;
- Membership fees will be due annually.
