Mining, Oil & Gas Local Procurement Forum

A full day industry forum that built on the interest generated by a collaborative project that has been researching ‘Local small and medium sized enterprise (SME) participation in the supply chains of Australian mining, oil and gas companies’.
The forum was aimed at mining, oil and gas professionals in procurement/supply chain and community relations functions, and SME network organisations and associations.

AEMEE 2008
The Aboriginal Enterprises in Mining Exploration and Energy Conference was held from Thursday 18 - Friday 19 September 2008 at the Darwin Convention Centre, Northern Territory. The Conference focus was on the theme "Community Wealth Creation" and explored a range of topics including building Indigenous capacity and economic opportunities to communities and individual businesses.

AEMEE 2007
The 3rd annual Aboriginal Enterprises in Mining and Exploration conference was held on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd of November at the Cairns Convention Centre. The MCA secretariat worked closely with the steering committee for the conference ensuring that strong linkages were made through presentations, and themes.
Professional development workshops were held to help grow Indigenous enterprises engaged in the mining and minerals processing supply chain on Friday 2 November.
The conferences overlapped on Thursday 1 November, and included a joint casual dinner event to welcome delegates to the Aboriginal Enterprises in Mining and Exploration Conference and close the SD conference.
